All those delicious treats just waiting to be consumed - combine that with the holiday atmosphere and there’s a pretty big chance we’ll slip up. We can only be so strong in the face of such sinful goodness.


There are so many misconceptions about going into keto diet or any other diet regimen. Like how our food choices are limited and bland. We know this not to be true. We do have a lot of delicious food to choose from. So good in fact that people who are not in the know will think that those foods are unhealthy because of how mouth-watering they look. Since it is the holiday season, let’s focus on holiday-themed drinks that are not only delicious but also healthy.


Mint Chocolate Smoothie


Chocolate smoothies can be a healthy breakfast option. If you don’t believe us, give this recipe a try. This might become one of your staple breakfast options the whole year-round.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of almond or coconut milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp of almond butter
  • 1 tbsp of Cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp of peppermint flavoring
  • Ice for thickening

Preparation:

  1. Blend all the ingredients using a high-powered blender.
  2. Add milk to make the smoothie thinner or ice to make it thicker.
  3. Enjoy.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Smoothie


Who says that people on a diet cannot have fun? This smoothie recipe combining peanut butter and chocolate will surely prove them wrong.


Ingredients:

  • 4 bananas. Sliced and frozen
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted peanut butter
  • 2 tbsps of coca powder
  • 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon

Preparation:

  1. Blend the bananas in a blender until crumbly.
  2. Pour in the almond milk and blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add in the peanut butter and blend until smooth.
  4. Add in the cocoa powder and cinnamon and blend.
  5. Serve and enjoy.

 

Chocolate Gingerbread Smoothie


This smoothie recipe is the healthiest in our list as it contains ginger which increases the thermic effect of food. Ginger is also known to promote weight loss which is great if you are trying to shed excess pounds.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of vanilla almond milk
  • 1 banana. Sliced and frozen
  • 1/2 cup of cauliflower. Frozen
  • 1 tbsp of almond butter
  • 1 tbsp of blackstrap molasses
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 scoop of cocoa powdr
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp of ground ginger

Preparation:

  1. Blend all the ingredients in a high-powered blender until smooth.
  2. Serve and enjoy.
